The CPI strongly condemns the attacks on CPB office on 5th May by the Islamic fundamentalist group known as Hefajte Islam.
It seems that certain forces have not yet accepted the reality of modern secular Bangladesh. They are also trying to whitewash the heroic freedom struggle of seventy-one. These religious fundamentalist groups are attempting to drag back the onward march of the history and the heroic role of CPB.
While expressing its total support and solidarity with the Communist Party of Bangladesh for their present struggles against all kinds of fundamentalist forces, the CPI demands that all those behind the attack on CPB office should be booked and punished appropriately.
